"Ahh! Gaijin da!" "It's a foreigner!" the kid screamed after rounding the corner of the supermarket aisle and running into me. He quickly turned on his heels and darted off to find his mother. Yes, there was no doubt about it, I was a gaijin, a thing to shock small children and adults alike

What flavour Pocky are you?
Still sick... it's been more than two weeks now... so I needed something to cheer me up...
You Are Flan Pocky
Your attitude: modern and offbeat East meets west... sweet meets salty. You're a pro at bringing unusual combos together!
hahaha! That's too funny about the green tea cravings - Aiden and I just ate a packet of green tea pocky recently! TOO delicious! Wierd, but it works...just like nearly everything in Japan!
So, the computer told me: "Kirra - You Are Milk Pocky. This means your attitude is caring and charming." "Smooth and silkly" (the English teacher in me questions the grammatical accuracy of using silk as an adverb, but hey .. this is Japan, right?). Oh, and apparently I'm "invigorating and natural" too. "Kirra, you are like comfort food for the soul." .. Yeah?? I thought I just LIKED comfort food ..
PS: What's happening in 8 sleeps Mel? Me=intrigued. Interest has been piqued! xoxoxo
Sorry to hear you're still under the weather mate, that's no good!
ReplyDeleteI'm Banana Pocky! Hahaha!
"Your attitude: fun and lighthearted, Unique and unforgettable, You are cutie everyone falls for." Awww...
Alas, I have not tried Pocky but I unconditionally love those little strawberry koalas (Lotte Koala March?) Oh no! Now I want some.
I'm also sorry to hear you're sick and I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz. I'm "Milk Pocky".
