"Ahh! Gaijin da!" "It's a foreigner!" the kid screamed after rounding the corner of the supermarket aisle and running into me. He quickly turned on his heels and darted off to find his mother. Yes, there was no doubt about it, I was a gaijin, a thing to shock small children and adults alike

Good luck with the photo a day!
Thanks Cont. It's a good thing you commented when you did, I'd almost forgotten to post the next image ;)

Hi Syahiran - thanks for dropping by. I hope you get the chance to come to Japan one day, it's an amazing place. You'd actually be surprised how easy it can be to live in Japan without speaking a lot of the language. Well, a lot of the time at least. Mind you, as with living anywhere in the world, I think you get so much more out of it (and can contribute as well of course)if you make the effort of learning the language.
It's nice photo:D
I'm a Japanese and live in Aichi.
By the way, it's difficult to live in Japan without using Japanese, isn't it?
I wish it'll come the day that you can use Japanese naturally:)
Hey Yumigon - It's good to "meet" another Aichi-jin. Sometimes it can get quite hard not speaking Japanese, but surprisingly, at times it's quite easy. This was a photo that I took, but I didn't write the prayer, I can speak some Japanese so it makes life easier.
